Welcome to Chiedza Child Care Centre
Chiedza Child Care Centre (CCCC) is a local non-governmental organisation established in 2001 and registered with the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare in 2003, PVO 16/2003. Currently, Chiedza CCC is operating in Harare South and Zvimba rural districts.
Education
Services provided include, direct school fees payment, inclusive education, part-time continuing education, out of school study group, sports development, and early childhood development.
Health and Nutrition
Services Provided include, nutritional assessment, pediatric HIV and AIDS, index testing, school health assessments, sexual reproductive health, wet and dry feeding.
Child Protection
Support provided include: birth registration, parenting sessions, counselling, support groups for caregivers of children living with disabilities, referrals and case management
Economic Strengthening
Services provided include, internal savings and lending schemes(ISALs), selection, entrepreneurship, planning and management (SEPM), income generation activities (IGA) training, start-up kits as well as support for schools with income generation projects.
About us in brief
Currently, the organisation has developed a holistic model premised on four thematic areas; Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition and Economic Strengthening. Program areas of strengths include early childhood education, general education support, and non-formal education, inclusive education for children with disability, Paediatric HIV, child protection, health, nutrition and economic strengthening
To prove access to education, child protection, health and Nutrition to orphans and other vulnerable children including those with disabilities and living with HIV. We work with caregivers and young people to empower them to reach their full potential.
Chiedza Child Care Centre (Chiedza) is a community-based NGO registered with the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Development in 2003, PVO 16/2003. It was established in 2001 by concerned professionals and citizens of Zimbabwe in response to the devastating impact of HIV and AIDS on children and families. They were touched by an increasing number of orphans as a result of AIDS-related deaths. With the advent of antiretroviral therapy, the organization continued to adapt responding to the impact of HIV and AIDS on children and their families.
